After reading a discussion in the Strobist group, I was inspired to duplicate a shot I saw in a video by Peter Belanger.
However, instead of using a few monoblocs I decided to see what I could do with one speedlight and a bunch of reflectors.
This was lit from behind with one Nikon SB-800 in a Lastolite Ezybox at about a 45 degree angle to the phones. That light was triggered with the pop-up flash via CLS. Then I placed white reflectors on both sides of the phones and one big one directly in front of the phones and below the lens.
I added the blue, vignetted background in post.
